Amid the coronavirus outbreak, everyone has become ultra hygienic and health-conscious.
While were are washing our hands incessantly, maintaining social distancing from each other and doing our every bit to prevent ourselves from getting infected, it is also important to have an adequate intake of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to support our immune system.
Here’s an easy recipe with brinjal and basil leaves, that act as a natural immune system booster and keep infections at bay.
Brinjal – Two
Tulsi – Four stems
Garlic – Four cloves
Salt – As required
Turmeric powder – Half tbsp
Black pepper powder – Half tbsp
Curry leaves – two stems
Oil- half a tbsp
How to prepare?
Cut the brinjal in long strips and leave it in water for some time. In a bowl mix together chopped tulsi leaves, chopped curry leaves, chopped or smashed garlic, salt, turmeric powder, and pepper powder.
After draining the water, add the brinjals into the mixture and stir well. Leave it aside for 15 minutes.
In a pan, heat the oil and add mustard seeds. Add the mixture to the oil and cook for some time without adding water. Your immunity booster is ready! Serve hot with rice or chapati.
